Description The issue exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks. This can be achieved by injecting content into the Pentaho User Console through session variables using a malicious URL.

Recommendations For versions prior to 9.4.0.1, update to version 9.4.0.1 or later. For versions prior to 9.3.0.2, update to version 9.3.0.2 or later. For version 8.3.x, consider upgrading to a newer version to mitigate the risk. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Pentaho User Console to minimize the risk of exploitation.
