Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Utility component of Oracle Solaris, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure to compromise Oracle Solaris. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle Solaris' accessible data.

Recommendations For Oracle Solaris version 10, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Oracle Solaris version 11, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Utility component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
