Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s mm/uffd module. Specifically, a warning can occur when
PTE MARKER UFFD WP is not compiled in, potentially leading to unexpected behavior. The issue arises because code paths intended to be used only when PTE MARKER UFFD WP is enabled can still be reached without it, triggering a warning. The fix involves adding conditional compilation checks (ifdefs) to prevent this code from being executed when CONFIG PTE MARKER UFFD WP is not defined.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
