Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Media Library Alt Text Editor plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.0.0

Description The Media Library Alt Text Editor plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin’s bvmalt sc div update alt text shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the injected page.

Recommendations Update the Media Library Alt Text Editor plugin to a version newer than 1.0.0.
