Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Same Category Posts plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.1.20

Description The plugin is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the widget title placeholder functionality. This is caused by the use of htmlspecialchars decode() on taxonomy term names before output, which decodes HTML entities that WordPress intentionally encodes for security. Authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the affected page.

Recommendations Update The Same Category Posts plugin to version 1.1.20 or later.
