Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 3.1.2

Description The plugin is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the ecs-list-events shortcode's message attribute. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes allow authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the affected page.

Recommendations Update The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin to a version later than 3.1.2.
