**Description**
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an invalid pointer dereference and application crash, via a crafted packet. This can be demonstrated by a usbmon dump.
**Recommendations**
For Wireshark versions 1.4.x through 1.4.13, update to version 1.4.14 or later.
For Wireshark versions 1.6.x through 1.6.8, update to version 1.6.9 or later.
For Wireshark versions 1.8.x through 1.8.0, update to version 1.8.1 or later.
