Description The issue allows remote web servers to execute arbitrary code via a long Server header in a response to an HTTP request that occurs during parsing of a RealPix file. This is a result of a heap-based buffer overflow.

Recommendations For RealPlayer versions 11.0 through 11.1, update to a version that fixes the heap-based buffer overflow issue. For RealPlayer SP versions 1.0 through 1.1.5, update to a version that fixes the heap-based buffer overflow issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RealPix file parsing functionality until a patch is available.
