Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Azeotech DAQFactory versions 5.85 build 1853 and earlier
Description The issue is a stack-based buffer overflow that allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and potentially execute arbitrary code. This is achieved by sending a crafted NETB packet to the UDP port 20034.
Recommendations For Azeotech DAQFactory versions 5.85 build 1853 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.85 build 1853 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to UDP port 20034 to minimize the risk of exploitation.
