Description The issue allows remote IPP printers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the host name, due to an incomplete fix for a previous security issue. This is related to the generate local queue function in utils/cups-browsed.c.

Recommendations For versions prior to 1.0.53, update to version 1.0.53 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the generate local queue function in utils/cups-browsed.c to minimize the risk of exploitation.
