Description The issue is related to resource management errors in the NX-OS network operating system. It allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a device reload, by sending an IPv4 ICMP packet with the IP Record Route option.

Recommendations For versions prior to 11.0(1c), update to version 11.0(1c) or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the network to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the IP Record Route option in IPv4 ICMP packets until the issue is resolved.
