Description The issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted .jb2 file. It is related to a "User Mode Write AV starting at ntdll 77400000!RtlImpersonateSelfEx+0x000000000000024e."
Recommendations For XnView Classic for Windows version 2.40, consider avoiding the use of .jb2 files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the execution of arbitrary code by limiting the application's privileges.
