Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions prior to a fixed version
Description
The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the Android operating system, allowing a remote attacker to bypass certificate validation. A vulnerability is present in the parsing of a DRM provisioning command in Android releases using the Linux kernel.
Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, apply the necessary security updates to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive operations that rely on certificate validation until a patch is available.
