Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Trend Micro Threat Discovery Appliance versions 2.6.1062r1 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code as the root user. This is achieved by exploiting shell metacharacters in the cache id parameter of the log query dae.cgi endpoint.
Recommendations For versions 2.6.1062r1 and earlier, avoid using the cache id parameter in the log query dae.cgi endpoint until the issue is resolved. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the log query dae.cgi endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
