Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Reader version 9.0.1.5096
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the processing of Circle annotations, specifically by manipulating a document's elements to cause a pointer to be reused after it has been freed, allowing an attacker to execute code under the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Reader version 9.0.1.5096, consider disabling the processing of Circle annotations as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious files or web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
