Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the API frameworks component of the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK). This can be exploited by an attacker to gain full control over the application. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a high-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure where the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK) is executed, potentially compromising the kit and significantly impacting additional products. Successful attacks can result in the takeover of the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK).

Recommendations For versions prior to 8.7.18, update to version 8.7.18 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the API frameworks component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
