Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the API frameworks component of the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK). This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data or cause a denial of service using network protocols. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data. Additionally, it can lead to a partial denial of service.

Recommendations For versions prior to 8.7.19, update to version 8.7.19 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK) to minimize the risk of exploitation.
