Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wireshark version 3.0.0
Description The issue is related to the Rbm dissector component, which could enter an infinite loop when handling unknown object types. This could potentially allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem was addressed by safely handling unknown object types.
Recommendations For Wireshark version 3.0.0, update the epan/dissectors/file-rbm.c to handle unknown object types safely to prevent the Rbm dissector from going into an infinite loop.
