Description The web interface of the Vertiv Avocent UMG-4000 is vulnerable to stored XSS. A remote attacker authenticated with an administrator account could store a maliciously named file within the web application that would execute each time a user browsed to the page.

Recommendations For version 4.2.1.19, consider disabling access to the web interface until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the stored XSS vulnerability. Restrict access to the web application to minimize the risk of malicious file uploads. Avoid using the web interface for file management until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
