Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the plugin configuration directive in a reference to an external domain plugin, which can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS). This affects the News system (news) extension for TYPO3 and Mahara.

Recommendations For Flowplayer Flash versions 3.2.7 through 3.2.16, consider disabling the plugin configuration directive in references to external domain plugins until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin configuration to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin configuration directive with external domain plugins in the affected versions. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
