Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Cute Editor for ASP.NET version 6.4
Description: The issue is caused by improper validation of user-supplied input, leading to reflected cross-site scripting (XSS). A remote attacker could exploit this using a specially crafted URL to execute a script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site. This could allow the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
Recommendations: For Cute Editor for ASP.NET version 6.4, consider validating all user-supplied input to prevent XSS attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive areas of the web application that use the Cute Editor for ASP.NET until a proper fix is applied. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
