Description:
A Buffer Overflow issue exists, allowing a specially crafted network packet sent from an attacker to crash memcached.
Recommendations:
For versions 6.5.x through 7.0.0, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the memcached service to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
