Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. User interaction is required to exploit this, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of DWG files, resulting from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data. This can lead to a read past the end of an allocated buffer, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process when combined with other vulnerabilities.
Recommendations For Bentley MicroStation CONNECT version 10.16.0.80, consider disabling the parsing of DWG files as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the function responsible for parsing DWG files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-supplied data in the affected parsing function until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
