Description The issue is related to a command injection vulnerability in the ChgSambaUserSettings() function. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation when processing the samba name parameter, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands.
Recommendations For D-Link DIR-823-Pro version 1.0.2, consider disabling the ChgSambaUserSettings() function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the samba name parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
