Description
The issue is related to a use-after-free condition for realloc(..., 0) in libsubcmd. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven. It was introduced in version v4.5 and fixed in Linux Kernel version v5.4.181.
Recommendations
For versions prior to v5.4.181, update to Linux Kernel version v5.4.181 or later to resolve the issue.
