Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow on the stack in the ping.ccp component of the D-Link DIR820LA1 router's firmware. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The buffer overflow occurs via the nextPage parameter at ping.ccp.
Recommendations For D-Link DIR820LA1 version prior to FW106B02, update the firmware to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ping.ccp component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
