Description The issue allows for Privilege Escalation via a POST request to "/user/assignuserrole" using the userid and role parameters. Authentication is required with OE ADMIN role privilege.

Recommendations For OvalEdge versions 5.2.8.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "/user/assignuserrole" endpoint until a patch is available. Additionally, limit the use of the userid and role parameters in this context to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
