Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Ultimate Posts Widget WordPress plugin versions prior to 2.3.1

Description The issue concerns the lack of validation and escaping of some Widget options before they are outputted back in attributes. This could allow high privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example in a multisite setup.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.3.1, update to version 2.3.1 or later to resolve the issue.
