VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Beaver Builder – WordPress Page Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.7.4.2
Description The issue is related to DOM-Based Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability is exploited via a parameter related to 'playground.wordpress.net'.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.7.4.2, update to a version later than 2.7.4.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'playground.wordpress.net' parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
