Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Activity Log – Monitor & Record User Changes plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.11.1
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever an administrative user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is exploited via the event parameters.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.11.1, update to a version higher than 2.11.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the event parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation.
