Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'lgx-counter' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.4.0, consider disabling the 'lgx-counter' shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that utilize the vulnerable shortcode to minimize the risk of arbitrary script execution. Update to a version later than 2.4.0 when available, as it is expected to include necessary fixes for the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issues.
