Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions FAQ Builder AYS plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.7.1

Description The FAQ Builder AYS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the ays faq tab parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.

Recommendations For versions up to and including 1.7.1, update to a version later than 1.7.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ays faq tab parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
