Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP-Appbox plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.5.3
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the page parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For WP-Appbox plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.5.3, consider disabling the page parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that use the page parameter to minimize the risk of Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Avoid using the page parameter in links or forms until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
