Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Restaurant Menu – Food Ordering System – Table Reservation plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.0
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's shortcode(s) due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.4.0, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the plugin's shortcode(s) to minimize the risk of exploitation.
