Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Element Pack - Addon for Elementor Page Builder WordPress Plugin versions up to, and including, 7.9.0
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the widget wrapper link URL due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.9.0, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the widget wrapper link URL feature until a patch is available. Restrict permissions to prevent contributors and above from injecting arbitrary web scripts.
