Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.13.2
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.13.2, update to a version later than 1.13.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict access to widgets to prevent arbitrary web script injection until a patch is available.
