VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.50
Description The issue is related to the function folio wait writeback() which requires that no spinlocks are held and that a folio reference is held. After dropping the PTL, the folio could get freed concurrently, so a temporary reference is grabbed.
Recommendations Update to Linux kernel version 6.6.50 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the folio wait writeback() function until a patch is available.
