Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Custom Banners plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.3
Description: The Custom Banners plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of add query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 3.3, update to a version that fixes the issue with add query arg to prevent Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality until a patch is available.
