Description: The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the mdi-icon shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations: For Material Design Icons plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 0.0.5, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
