Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Prime Slider – Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.16.5
Description The issue concerns a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. It is caused by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, specifically through the social link title parameter of the 'blog' widget. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For Prime Slider – Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.16.5, update to a version higher than 3.16.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'blog' widget or disabling the social link title parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
