Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A issue in the Linux kernel has been identified where the disk scan partitions() function is called with 'FMODE EXCL', but blkdev get by dev() is called without 'FMODE EXCL'. As a result, blkdev put() is still called with 'FMODE EXCL', causing the 'bd holders' counter to leak. This problem is resolved by using the correct mode for blkdev put().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
