Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A race condition in the AF XDP generic RX path of the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue occurred when multiple sockets shared a single
xsk buff pool, allowing two CPU cores to access the RX path of different sockets sharing the same umem, resulting in a race condition. To fix this, the rx lock was moved from xsk socket to xsk buff pool to protect both the RX and FILL queues by acquiring a spinlock in the shared xsk buff pool. This change minimizes lock contention and prevents data races or race conditions.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
