Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to a missing check for the error return of the zpci create device() function. This function returns an error pointer that needs to be checked before it is dereferenced as a struct zpci dev pointer. The missing check was added in the clp add() function to prevent potential issues when adding devices to the scan list.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
