VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions StageShow plugin for WordPress versions prior to 9.8.7
Description The StageShow plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of remove query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions prior to 9.8.7, update to a version later than 9.8.6 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality until a patch is available. Avoid using the remove query arg function without proper escaping on the URL in the affected versions.
