Description A privilege escalation issue exists in the Snapshot functionality. When a virtual machine snapshot is deleted, a root service verifies and modifies the ownership of the snapshot files. An attacker can use a symlink (a symbolic link that points to another file or directory) to change the ownership of files belonging to the root user to a user with lower privileges.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
