Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A divide error occurs in the libnvdimm driver when a faulty CXL memory device returns a broken zero LSA size in its memory device information. This error happens because the
config size is assigned to zero LSA size, which then sets max xfer to zero. A subsequent DIV ROUND UP() causes a division by zero. The issue is resolved by checking the config size parameter.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
