Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The USB bus device driver in the Linux kernel contains an issue in the
cdns3 allocate trb pool() function within the drivers/usb/cdns3/cdns3-gadget.c module. The problem relates to unrestricted resource allocation and the use of an unnecessary GFP DMA32 flag when calling kmalloc(). This can trigger random warning messages during driver load as kmalloc fix flags() reports an unexpected GFP value. The GFP DMA32 flag is redundant because dma alloc coherent() correctly manages the DMA memory region via pool->dev. Exploitation of this issue could potentially impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
