Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A NULL pointer dereference issue was identified in the mt7996 thermal init() function within the mt7996 driver of the Linux kernel. The devm kasprintf() function can return a NULL pointer if it fails, but the returned value is not checked before being used in mt7996 thermal init(). This can lead to a kernel NULL pointer dereference error.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
