Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to PCI device hotplug handling within the pnv php driver. When the root of a nested PCIe bridge configuration is unplugged, the driver leaks allocated IRQ resources for child bridges' hotplug event notifications, potentially leading to a kernel panic. The issue is resolved by deallocating these IRQ resources before removing devices and modifying the workqueue lifetime.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
