Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM/msm/dp subsystem related to the lifetime management of DP bridges. Device-managed resources allocated after component binding were not properly tied to the DRM device's lifetime, leading to potential resource leaks or failures when binding was deferred. Specifically, previously allocated bridges could leak on probe deferral. The issue was addressed by modifying the DP parser interface to tie the bridge device's lifetime to the DRM device instead of the DP platform device.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
